I took this photograph in our garden while living in the south of France. An old neighbor of ours had once told me that these flowers are often called the roses of Provence. They pop up wild everywhere!

I use the highest quality professional art materials in all my artwork. For this piece, I used both Stabilo Carbothello and Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencils for detailing, and PanPastels on Pastelmat. Most of my drawings of this size take me 10-16 hours to complete.
